Vaclav Cigler is a glass artist with legendary status in Europe.

He is considered the 'father' of contemporary Slovak glass and is a revered teacher with many successful students. At 80 years of age Cigler remains a vital force in the glass community creatively engaged in numerous projects and museum installations. His works are included in more than 25 museums internationally. It has been written that "Cigler’s objects inspire contemplation and search for spirituality, conscience and truth." This exhibition presents a rare opportunity for Americans to see his latest, smaller scale sculptures. The exhibition was organized in cooperation with Galeria Nova from Slovakia and is being presented under the Patronage of the Consulate General of Slovakia in New York. Heller Gallery is proud to be hosting this gifted artist.
